The Verity Entity: ANGER Meter and the 'Something' Event
The ANGER meter in Verity's Game is real and it escalates — at 100% something arrives, the sky goes dark, and Verity hunts. Verified mechanics inside.
For its first weeks this wiki listed the ANGER meter as an unexplained mood dial. It is not unexplained anymore. Direct gameplay capture now shows the full sequence — and the official description’s “nothing bad will happen” is the setup for a punchline the game delivers at 100%.

What is the ANGER meter?
A permanent HUD bar at the top center of the screen, labeled ANGER with a percentage and a small Verity face icon that darkens as the value climbs — running from 0% to 100%. Across captured sessions it has been observed everywhere between 0% and a hard 100%.
The meter is exactly what the name says: how angry Verity — the giant yellow smiley watching over the field — is at you. Every box you grab that “belongs” to it is the thing its own description told you not to do.
What raises ANGER?
The observable pattern in September 2026 footage is that grabbing and carrying boxes pushes the meter up — a fresh session sits near 0%, a player mid-stealing-spree reads 18–35%, and sustained taking pushes it into the 80s. Whether placement, selling, or time alone also feed it is still being documented, and the decay rate between events has not been measured. What is confirmed is that it does not climb on its own at idle: quiet sessions hold low readings.
What happens at 100%?
The escalation is a two-step warning, then an event:
- High 80s — “SOMETHING IS COMING.” At roughly 84% a banner warns you in the game’s own meme language (a nod to the “Something” web series the character comes from — see What Is Verity’s Game?). This is your evacuation window.
- 100% — “SOMETHING IS HERE.” The sky snaps to night, the smiley icon goes dark, and a giant hostile Verity entity moves onto the field to hunt.
- Getting caught fills your screen with a close-up of the entity’s grinning face — a jumpscare-style attack. What it costs you mechanically (dropped items, cash loss, or just terror) is still being documented; players near their base are observed surviving the encounter.

How do you survive the event?
Two defenses are visible in captured play:
- The SAFE ZONE. A painted line on the grass near your base literally marks a safe area — automation tools and footage both treat “retreat to base” as the evasion move. Your plot is covered in Your Base and the Treadmill.
- Back off the boxes. The meter exists because you were taking; stopping gives the field a chance to calm down. The counter resets after an event resolves.
The deeper strategy implication is real: stealing is no longer only a player-versus-player risk. Every grab is also a pull on the meter that ends the night’s peace for everyone — which makes the stealing playbook a judgment call about timing, not just targets.
Is this the same as Survive VERITY?
No — and this distinction matters. Survive VERITY is a separate game by the same studio where the monster is the whole product (compared in Survive VERITY Explained). The ANGER event documented here happens inside Verity’s Game itself — the tycoon has a monster night baked into its loop. If a guide tells you “nothing hunts you in Verity’s Game,” it predates the footage above; the honest version is: other players hunt your boxes, and Verity hunts you.
