The Index in Verity's Game: What It Tracks and How to Complete It

The Index is Verity’s Game’s quiet long-term goal. Cash resets your expectations every session, steals come and go, but the Index only ever grows — and now that real footage of the screen exists, we know exactly what it holds: a 49-entry catalog of Veritys, the game’s collectible -ity creatures, each stamped with its own 1-in-X roll odds. This guide covers how it works; every entry and odds value we have verified lives in the Verity Index List.

What is the Index?

The Index is the game’s collection tracker — a pop-up panel with a progress header and a grid of entries. Footage of a near-complete save shows the header reading “97% complete — 48 / 49 discovered”, which pins the launch set at 49 entries and confirms the catalog is finite and finishable. Think of it as a Pokédex: it is the reason two identical-looking sessions are not identical — one can quietly add three new entries while the other adds none.

One honest correction to the community’s earlier working read: the first posts about this game assumed the Index cataloged box types you held. What the actual Index screen shows is a catalog of Veritys — the smiley-faced, -ity-named creatures (Verity, Falsity, Cruelty, … Wormity) that come off the Random Verity button, each with its roll odds printed on the entry. Whether box types also record anywhere is still open; what is on screen is creatures. The creatures themselves are covered in What Are Veritys?.

How do entries get recorded?

The visible pipeline is the Random Verity button on the right edge of the HUD: press it, receive a Verity, watch the counter tick. Each entry in the Index carries its own odds banner — from 1 in 5 for the base Verity out to 1 in 107 for Wormity — so long-grind entries are known in advance, exactly like a gacha rate sheet (the full table is in the Verity Index List). The button shows a counter beside it (x19, x79 observed across saves); what it spends per press is still being documented. Two strategy consequences:

  • Rare rolls are the wall. At 1-in-56-plus odds, the tail of the set is where completion time lives — plan sessions around it rather than expecting it on the way by.
  • Strength may still gate the pace. If rolls key off field performance or currency you must earn, the same Strength growth that drives stealing drives collection too.

Why does Index completion matter?

Standing — and now, verifiably, money. A system message in near-complete-save footage reads “Your Veritys earn $135.5B/day offline”: the collection is an income engine that pays while you are gone, so every entry is also a raise (What Are Veritys? has the breakdown). There is still no badge, title, or code reward as of September 19, 2026 — the game has no badge system and no codes (the whole “what is not in the game” question is covered in Are There Verity’s Game Codes?).

That could change. A collection system this central is exactly what developers bolt rewards onto (titles, skins, locked boxes) once a game finds its audience — if that happens it will be in the Update Log the same day.

What is the fastest way to complete the Index?

  1. Roll constantly — commons are free progress. At 1-in-5 to 1-in-15 odds the early set fills itself; every press is a step.
  2. Respect the real tail. The odds ladder does not stop at triple digits — verified entries run from 1-in-1.2K out to 1-in-170.9K (the full table is in the Verity Index List). The deep end is where completion time lives; plan sessions around earning whatever Random Verity spends, not around luck.
  3. Rotate servers. Five players per server, and footage hints the field mix differs server to server — variety on the field feeds whatever the roll economy runs on.
  4. Keep the income floor under you. Boxes you hold pay while you grind (How to Make Money Fast), and stealing funds the tail — target logic in How to Steal Boxes.

Has anyone completed it?

Yes — footage from September 2026 shows the full arc: a save at 48 of 49 (97%), and then the completion moment itself with the header reading “100% complete — 49 / 49 discovered”. The catalog is confirmed finite and finishable at the game’s current scale — though “finishable” is relative: the deep end of the odds ladder runs past 1 in 170,000 (see the Verity Index List). As updates add entries or shift odds, the changes get recorded there and in the Update Log — dated, not guessed.
